Fall 2026 Move-In Information

What to Bring Lists

We want you to feel at home at Augsburg, and that experience starts with making sure you have what you need to be comfortable in your new living space. What To Bring Guides help you understand what Residence Life provides in your space and which items you will need to provide on your own or share with your roommate/suitemates.

Check out your Housing Assignment on your to verify which What to Bring Guide you need. Housing assignment information will be available on or before July 1, 2026, for all incoming, transfer, and PSEO students who have completed Housing Contracts by June 15, 2026. Residence Life staff completes housing assignments weekly for students who submit their housing contracts after June 15, 2026.

Certain items are prohibited in Residence Life spaces. Please review the  for further information. Residence Life and Department of Public Safety staff reserve the right to remove prohibited items from Residence Life spaces.

Move-In Dates: First-Year Incoming Students

Students Attending SOAR IV

  • Students attending SOAR IV (Wednesday, August 26) will move in on Tuesday, August 25. All students attending SOAR IV must sign up for a Move-In Appointment. Further information regarding signing up for a move-in appointment will be sent through  Augsburg email in August.

All Other First-Year Incoming Students

Move-In Dates: Returning and Transfer Students

All returning and Transfer students are required to sign up for a Returning/Transfer Student Move-In Appointment. Move-In Appointments will be available as follows:

  • Saturday, August 29- 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Sunday, August 30- 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Monday, August 31- 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Tuesday, September 1- 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Transfer SOAR is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, and all transfer students are encouraged to sign up for a Move-In Appointment before then.
