Financial Aid Update for Parents

The Fall 2018 billing statements will be electronically sent to all registered students on July 10th.ĢżĢżTo ensure that all financial aid has been applied for, and correct amounts are owed, please make sure your student has turned in all necessary documents to the Student Financial Services Office by June 30th.ĢżĢżStudents can go toĀ Ā and click on ā€˜Review Your Financial Aidā€™ to check the status of their financial aid, or to see what documents are missing or incomplete.

All students are eligible to enroll in Augsburgā€™s Online Payment Plan; enrollment will open on July 10th.ĢżĢżĀ Go toĀ Ā to sign up for the payment plan.

To ensure 5 monthly payments, the applicationĀ mustĀ be completed by July 26th.

Tuition accounts must be paid-in-full to register for fall term, and for a diploma and/or transcript to be released; payments can be made online by going toĀ .ĢżĢżĀ Students can go toĀ Ā and click on ā€œReview Your Student Accountā€™ to see if they have an unpaid balance.ĢżĢżPlease see theĀ ParentĀ Information tab atĢżĢżĀ for instructions on making a paymentĢżĢżand obtaining access to discuss your studentā€™s financial information, etc.ĢżĢżPlease note that we will be unable to speak with anyĀ parent/guardian that has not been authorized by the student.

The 2018-2019 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) can be completed online atĀ www.FAFSA.ed.govĀ using the studentā€™s and parent(s) 2016 federal taxes. ĢżĢżRemember to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to directly import the tax information, and make sure to submit the FAFSA by signing with your FSA ID. Students can go toĀ Ā and click on ā€˜Review Your Financial Aidā€™ to check the status of their financial aid or to see what documents are missing or incomplete.

Registration for the summer/fall 2018 term is now open.Ā  Students who have unpaid spring charges, or are not up-to-date on their payment plans, will be unable to register.ĢżĢż Students can go toĀ Ā and click on ā€œReview Your Student Accountā€™ to see if they have an unpaid balance.

Graduating students who have borrowed federal loans must complete loan exit counseling atĀ ; this is an important tool to help students learn about their loan repayment options.

All financial aid documents for the 2017-2018 academic year (including private loan applications) must be completed and/or returned to the Enrollment Center by April 6thĀ in order to receive financial aid for the spring term. Any documents received after that date cannot be guaranteed to be processed.ĢżĢż

Join the Augsburg Alumni team at A Christmas Carol!

A Twin Cities holiday tradition that is not to be missed- the Guthrie Theater continues their holiday tradition for the 43rd year.

On Tuesday December 12, the Augsburg Alumni team will be hosting a special Auggie pre-theater reception before the show, which will take place in the Guthrie Theater Target Lounge at 6 p.m., with yummy appetizers and a chance to celebrate holiday spirit with old friends and new!

A miserly and miserable man, Ebenezer Scrooge greets each Christmas with a ā€œbah humbug,ā€ until he is visited one Christmas Eve by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future. Through a restless night, the spirits show him happy memories from his past, cruel realities from the present and the grim future should he continue his cantankerous ways– Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is a perennial favorite.

The priority deadline for completing the financial aid application is May 1.

Registration for the summer/fall 2016 terms begins April 4. Students who have unpaid spring charges, or are not up-to-date on their payment plans, will be unable to register.

Parent Update: Financial Services

All spring tuition and fee charges were due January 5; any remaining balance after that date is subject to finance charges. Students will have reminders sent to their Augsburg email account during the first week of each month reminding them to view their online monthly bill; all students are encouraged to give parents/guardians access to view these statements. The last day to register for three monthly payments under Augsburgā€™s Online Payment Plan isĀ February 26. Please see the new Parent Information tab atĀ  for instructions on obtaining access, making a payment, signing up for a payment plan, etc.

Students will be notified by the end of January when their 1098-T is available for their 2015 tax preparation. Students can view the form by logging on to AugNet Records and Registration and clicking on Make Payment/Account Activity. The 1098-T tax form can be found on the bottom right-hand side of this page. Billing statements provide a record of tuition billed during 2015.

Students must complete the online form, Information Release in Records and Registration, to grant us permission to speak with anyone other than the student.

Registration for the spring term begins November 9. Students who have unpaid fall charges, or are not up-to-date on their payment plans, will be unable to register.

Students can make payments online by logging into and going to Make a Payment/Account Activity on the right-hand menu. Click on Make a Payment and then Make a Payment Online. Students are highly encouraged to give parents/guardians access to view theirĀ financialĀ statements. Students must log in to and select Make a Payment/Account Activity on the right-hand menu.Ā  Click View your online student account and follow the instructions under Parent/Third Party Access Instructions ā€“ Make a Payment.

Please be advised that our office is unable to communicate with anyone other than the student onĀ financialĀ issues unless they have completed the online Information Release form. The student must log into their Augnet Account at Ģż“Ē°ł and click on Records and Registration. Under Information Release they need to Add an Authorization. Enter the full name and email address of the party/parties to whom they are giving permission for our communication. Next, select FinancialĀ Aid/Finances Release and then click Save.

Parent News from Student Financial Services

The Fall 2015 billing statements were electronically sent to all registered students on July 9; the due date is August 1. Students can view their statements by logging into and selecting “Records & Registration.” Click on “Make a Payment/Account Activity/Statement History” and then view or download “Augsburg Bill.” To view a studentā€™s transaction history, follow all previous steps except select “Click here to view transaction history;” this is a more comprehensive and detailed view of a studentā€™s account.

All students are encouraged to give parents/guardians access to view their billing statements. Students must log in to and select “Make a Payment/Account Activity” on the right hand menu. Click “View your online student account” and follow the instructions under “Parent/Third Party Access Instructions ā€“ Make a Payment.”

All students are still eligible to enroll in Augsburgā€™s online payment plan; however, the payments will be divided into four monthly payments if the application was not completed by July 30. Students must log in to and select “Make a Payment/Account Activity” on the right hand menu. Click “Payment Plans and Discounts” and follow the instructions under “Augsburg Online Payment Plan.” To ensure four monthly payments, the application must be completed by August 26.

To comply with FERPA regulations, students must complete the online Information Release form in order for our office to communicate with anyone besides themselves. The student must log into their Augnet Account at “Ē°łĢż and click on “Records and Registration.” Under “Information Release” they need to “Add an Authorization.” They will enter the full name and email address of the party/parties they are giving permission for us to communicate with. Next, select “Financial Aid/Finances Release” and then click “Save.” Please note that we will be unable to speak with any parent/guardian that has not been authorized by the student.
