This change was intentionally made to reduce the financial gap left by the ineligibility of undocumented students to access federal funds for their higher\u00a0education.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2) MN Dream Act State Grant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On May 2013, the state of Minnesota passed the MN Dream Act which provides state financial aid to undocumented students who meet the state of Minnesota residency requirements.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"here\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ohe.state.mn.us\/pdf\/MNDreamActFactSheet.pdf\">MN Dream Act State Grant eligibility requirements<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ohe.state.mn.us\/mPg.cfm?pageID=2065#instructions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Apply for MN Dream Act State Grant<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications for the MN Dream Act State Grant are processed and awarded by the MN Office of Higher Education. This fund is designed to remove barriers that may impede students from graduating from Augsburg. Therefore, Augsburg\u00a0University offers a series of <a title=\"payment plans\" href=\"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/studentfinancial\/header-make-paymentaccount-activity\/payment-plans-and-discounts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">payment plans<\/a>\u00a0that allow you to make manageable payments and utilize benefits such as military and employer tuition benefits.<\/p>\n<h3>FINANCIAL AID APPOINTMENTS<\/h3>\n<p>The office of Student Financial Services is available to assist you with your financial aid questions.
