What are the Summer Bridge Program Dates?<\/h2>\n

Summer Bridge 2026 is Sunday, June 21 – Thursday, July 16! All Summer Bridge dates listed are tentative and subject to change.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What is the TRIO\/Student Support Services (SSS) Summer Bridge Program?<\/h2>\n

Augsburg TRIO\/SSS allows up-to 25\u00a0admitted<\/strong> first-year students to get a head start on their Augsburg education. During this four-week residential program students take two college courses for credit and attend academic support seminars, workshops, and other activities to help provide for a smooth transition to Augsburg in the fall.* Summer Bridge participants will also participate in the academic year component of TRIO\/SSS while enrolled** at Augsburg.<\/p>\n

Who is eligible for TRIO\/SSS Summer Bridge?<\/h2>\n

All Augsburg TRIO\/SSS participants must be U.S. citizens<\/strong> or permanent residents<\/strong> or refugees<\/strong> pursuing their first bachelor\u2019s degree<\/strong>. Summer Bridge participants must be incoming Augsburg University students who plan to start fall 2026. All program participants must demonstrate academic need<\/strong>\u00a0for program services and meet\u00a0one or more<\/strong> of the following criteria:<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Low-income student:<\/strong>\u00a0a student whose family meets federal income eligibility guidelines, as verified by Augsburg.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0First generation college student:<\/strong>\u00a0a student where neither custodial parent\/guardian has graduated from a four-year institution at the time of the student\u2019s enrollment in the TRIO\/SSS program.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0College student with documented disability,<\/strong>\u00a0as verified by Augsburg’s Center for Learning and Accessible\u00a0Student Services (CLASS) office.<\/p>\n

Students\u00a0must<\/em>\u00a0also have a commitment to their college success.<\/p>\n

Summer Bridge participants may also be eligible for the TRIO\/SSS\u00a0Summer Bridge Promise Grant.<\/a><\/p>\n

*<\/strong>Participation in campus life (e.g. face-to-face learning, on- and off-campus social activities, living in the residence hall) will be done in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines established by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and Augsburg University.<\/p>\n
