Below is a step by step guide to registering your internship experience. For additional information on regulations for Curricular Practical Training (CPT), please visit the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/isss\/f1\/employment\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Employment<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> page or contact an ISSS Advisor.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>1. \u00a0Attend a CPT Group or 1:1 Advising Session<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contact the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/isss\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">International Student and Scholar Services<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (ISSS) office to schedule your session.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2. \u00a0Report Your Internship Site<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A confirmation email will be sent directly to your internship site supervisor.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/a\/augsburg.edu\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeS5vVau8hCFIvQ7SOtVOMfJ6a7vS1Yqf2rUJMtwuekVx-U-w\/viewform\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Internship Site Agreement Form<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>3. \u00a0Complete One of the Following Registration Forms<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>INTERNSHIPS FOR CREDIT<\/strong>\u00a0(2 or 4 credit):\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/go.augsburg.edu\/internshipform\">Internship Registration Form\u00a0\u00a0<\/a>We strongly recommend that you discuss your internship with your faculty supervisor\u00a0<strong>prior to completing this<\/strong>\u00a0registration form.\u00a0 Each department has assignments that are required as part of your internship, so receiving approval in advance is important.\u00a0Students registering for internships in PSY, URB, SOC, BUS have internship seminars required as part of your for credit internship.\u00a0This form will automatically be sent to your faculty supervisor, department chair and the Strommen Center for approval.<\/li>\n<li><strong>0-CREDIT INTERNSHIPS:<\/strong>\u00a0 Complete the online\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeWdH3Qk97VdYzkKfG6q3Rp1Qyrvgpvuu78qpYxO9tX5AcP6Q\/viewform\">Augsburg Experience Internship Form\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0(Minimum 80 hours per semester are required)\u00a0Schedule a 15-minute virtual registration appointment with Sandy Tilton in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/augsburg.joinhandshake.com\/\">Handshake<\/a>\u00a0 prior to completing the online approval form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: inherit; font-family: Oswald, sans-serif; font-size: 23px; letter-spacing: 0.03em;\">4. \u00a0Meet an ISSS Advisor for CPT Authorization<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bring the completed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.augsburg.edu\/isss\/CPTFacultyForm.pdf\">Curricular Practical Training Request and Verification Form<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0and the job offer that includes the position title, employer name and address, work hours\/week, etc. to your meeting with your ISSS advisor.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will receive a new I-20 form with the CPT authorization printed on the 2nd page. Page 2 of this new I-20 form serves as the legal proof to your off-campus employment eligibility during the time period you are authorized.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>5. \u00a0You May Begin Your Internship.<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to government regulations, you must have CPT authorization before you begin your internship.
