A summary of Augsburg’s General Education Requirements for this group of students is contained in this PDF. Graduation requirements include a minimum of 128 earned credits, of which at least 36 must be upper-division. Cumulative GPAs for the degree, major(s), and minor(s) must be 2.0 or higher.

More details will be found in the 2025-2026 Undergraduate Catalog that will be published in the summer of 2025.

A list of approved courses fulfilling Augsburg’s General Education is found in this Google document.

Run your degree audit to see which general education requirements you have met and which remain. However, each course can only apply once to the general education section of the degree audit. For example, CCS100 Introduction to Cultural Studies satisfies both Humanities and Local & Global Perspectives, but a particular student can only use CCS100 to satisfy either Humanities or Local & Global Perspectives.

By default a course will satisfy whichever general education requirement of the two appears first on the degree audit.

If a student prefers that a course be moved from the first of the two requirements to the second of the two requirements, all the student needs to do is send a request to graduation@augsburg.edu. The student should send the request after registering for the course and observing that it is appearing under the first of the two requirements.

A summary of Augsburg’s General Education Requirements for this group of students is contained in this PDF.
