{"id":58,"date":"2019-10-07T20:42:51","date_gmt":"2019-10-07T20:42:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/psyd\/?page_id=58"},"modified":"2024-09-06T02:52:55","modified_gmt":"2024-09-06T02:52:55","slug":"training-practicum-sites","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/psyd\/training\/training-practicum-sites\/","title":{"rendered":"Training Practicum Sites"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our Clinical Training Department has built relationships with practicum training sites throughout Minnesota&#8211;roughly 40-50 sites are within the Twin Cities metro area.\u00a0 Each student works with the training department in applying to the various sites.\u00a0 Possible practicum sites could include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adult and juvenile forensic settings<\/li>\n<li>Inpatient and outpatient hospital settings<\/li>\n<li>Residential treatment centers<\/li>\n<li>Private practices<\/li>\n<li>University counseling centers<\/li>\n<li>Substance abuse facilities<\/li>\n<li>Behavioral medicine clinics<\/li>\n<li>Pediatric units<\/li>\n<li>Neuro-psychological assessment sites<\/li>\n<li>Community mental health centers<\/li>\n<li>School systems<\/li>\n<li>University hospitals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In 2024, Dr. Hughes-Scalise and the PsyD Department were the recipients of a $200,000 Rural and Underserved Clinical Rotations Grant from the\u00a0Minnesota Department of Health!\u00a0 This Grant will provide funds to the\u00a0department to expand clinical practicum opportunities\u00a0in rural and underserved communities across the state.
