We will focus on how sustainable practices promote holistic well-being, ecological harmony, and patient-centered care as we explore the following:<br \/>\n\u2022 Join a walking tour of the Castello Sonnino to learn about the working farm, its history and its significance to the region<br \/>\n\u2022 Learn about the slow food movement and visit a farm using regenerative practices to grow vegetables<br \/>\n\u2022 Participate in an Italian cooking class led by a food expert and journalist, using organic ingredients purchased at a local farmers market<br \/>\n\u2022 Take a guided tour of one of the world\u2019s top art museums &#8211; the Uffizi, focusing on the health and sickness in the artwork<br \/>\n\u2022 Visit the local mill and learn about ancient grain production, milling, and the mill\u2019s work with local hospitals on health initiatives<br \/>\n\u2022 Tour the medieval town of Siena with a local guide and learn about the role of the plague, public health, and modernization of historic city centers<\/p>\n<h2>Courses Offered<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>NUR 412P-SA:\u00a0 Practicum: Community Health Nursing II<\/li>\n<li>NUR 500P-B: Practicum: Championing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Nursing Practice<\/li>\n<li>NUR 521P: Practicum: Just Leadership<\/li>\n<li>NUR 541P: Practicum: Advancing Health Equity and Inclusive Leadership<\/li>\n<li>NUR 733: Practicum: Social Determinants of Health and Diversity Equity and Inclusion to Advance<br \/>\nHealth Equity<\/li>\n<li>NUR 734: Practicum: Communication and Ethics in Nursing Praxis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Duration + Location:<\/h2>\n<p>Duration: October 30-November 9, 2025 (10 days \/ 9 nights)<\/p>\n<p>Location: Castello Sonnino, Montespertoli, Toscana, Italy<\/p>\n<p><em>This experience is only available for Augsburg University nursing students and alumni.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Faculty Lead<\/h2>\n<p>Drs.
