Ziemann previously authored several books in the Old West genre. He studied mathematics at Augsburg<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"1970\" style=\"display: block; position: relative; top: -70px; visibility: hidden;\"> <\/a><\/p>\n<h2>1972<\/h2>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-9522\" src=\"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/now\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/04\/swaggert-group.png\" alt=\"Group of Auggies in front of Niagara Falls\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>In September, longtime friends [L to R] <strong>Mary (Boraas) Janotta \u201973<\/strong>, <strong>Jill Steele \u201972<\/strong>, <strong>Mary Lynn (Monson) Ogelsbee \u201972<\/strong>, <strong>Lennice \u201cSparky\u201d (Nordaune) Keefe \u201972<\/strong>, and <strong>Julie (Hagberg) Swaggert \u201973<\/strong> traveled to upstate New York. The Augsburg alumnae once lived together in Chi House and have been traveling yearly since their graduation. A highlight of their most recent trip was visiting Niagara Falls.<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<h2>1977<\/h2>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 16\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>The Augsburg men\u2019s soccer program celebrated its 50th anniversary this fall with a lunch and reception attended by more than 100 Auggies. The celebration brought together Auggie soccer players from many decades and was led by a host of Augsburg alumni including <strong>Darcy Debing \u201977<\/strong>, <strong>Gary Dahle \u201979<\/strong>, <strong>Mike Kennedy \u201979<\/strong>, <strong>Don Potter \u201979<\/strong>, <strong>Vinnie Brooks \u201907,<\/strong> <strong>Alex Hildebrandt \u201910<\/strong>, and <strong>Van Hong \u201911<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>1979<\/h2>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 16\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Athletic Director <strong>Jeff Swenson \u201979<\/strong> has deep family ties at Augsburg. His sister, <strong>Marie (Swenson) Hechsel \u201990<\/strong>, played volleyball. The business serves all of Minnesota.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>1999<\/h2>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 16\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong>Tammy Sinkfield-Morey\u00a0\u201999,\u00a0\u201913 MAN, \u201917 DNP<\/strong> received the 2018 March of Dimes Distinguished Nurse of the Year award. Her oldest child started kindergarten, and Benton, who graduated from Augsburg with a degree in English, volunteers in the school library to stay active in her field.<\/p>\n<h2>2004<\/h2>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 16\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-9517\" src=\"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/now\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/04\/tina-boe.png\" alt=\"Tina with her two girls\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" \/>Tina (Anderson) Boe \u201904<\/strong> bought a home in Forest Lake, Minnesota, and works for Aveda as a distribution supervisor. Her daughters are 6 and 8 years old.<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Darin Rowle \u201904, \u201915 MSW<\/strong> accepted a manager role for the Department of Human Services HIV Program. Most recently, Rowle served JustUsHealth (formerly known as the Minnesota AIDS Project) as a director of prevention and coordinated care\/integrated services. She previously served as an assistant to the city manager of Roseville and as zoning administrator and board secretary for the city of Milwaukee.<\/p>\n<h2>2007<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Grant Hemmingsen \u201907<\/strong> and his wife. Kari, welcomed a baby girl, Quinn Joan, on January 26. Hemmingsen is the men\u2019s basketball head coach at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 16\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 16\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong>Molly (Shortall) Kaszuba \u201907<\/strong> and her husband, Brian, welcomed a baby boy, Jack, this winter. Kaszuba is an associate director of development at Fordham University School of Law. A graduate of Augsburg\u2019s music program, Begnaud recruited for, led, and participated in the pre-Christmas cantata that included a choir of 53 singers and 29 instrumentalists.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 16\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>They\u2019re Auggie hockey stars, and they\u2019re siblings.
