The program has been a national model of success since 1978. Approximately 130 students representing more than 25 tribes are enrolled part time or full time in Augsburg\u2019s undergraduate and graduate programs.<\/p>\n<p>Special invitees to the 40th anniversary reception included <strong>Bonnie Wallace<\/strong>, Augsburg regent emerita and the first director of the AISS program, as well as current Board of Regents members <strong>Eric Jolly<\/strong>, <strong>Marlene Whiterabbit Helgemo<\/strong>, and <strong>Noya Woodrich \u201992, \u201994 MSW.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In October, Augsburg\u2019s American Indian Student Services celebrated its 40th anniversary.
