More than 500 alumni from 64 different graduation years attended celebrations, including reunions for the classes of 1966, 1976, 1991, and 2006.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7547 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/now\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/11\/Homecoming-2.jpg\" alt=\"homecoming-2\" width=\"755\" height=\"504\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/now\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/11\/Homecoming-2.jpg 755w, https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/now\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/11\/Homecoming-2-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 755px) 100vw, 755px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-7548 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/now\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/11\/homecoming-3.jpg\" alt=\"homecoming-3\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/now\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/11\/homecoming-3.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/now\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/11\/homecoming-3-768x768.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Ten Auggies were inducted into the <strong><span class=\"s1\">Athletic Hall of Fame <\/span><\/strong>after being welcomed to the ceremony by current student-athletes. During a <strong><span class=\"s1\">Homecoming lunch <\/span><\/strong>with alumni award recipients, students were invited to share in discussion with recipients of the First Decade, Spirit of Augsburg, and Distinguished Alumni awards. In an evening ceremony, six alumni and two honorary Auggies received awards and were recognized for their generous service to the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The <strong><span class=\"s1\">Taste of Augsburg <\/span><\/strong>featured 38 booths\u2014most hosted by student groups\u2014and offered games, entertainment, and food, including the Augsburg Chemistry Society\u2019s liquid nitrogen ice cream. Augsburg won the football game against Carleton College, and alumni, families, and students stayed after the game to enjoy s\u2019mores at an Auggie Block Party featuring the band Broken Spoke.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">This year, 30 Homecoming events celebrated the best of Augsburg, from an all-band reunion to Auggie Talks led by alumni, staff, and faculty experts.
