Mueller \u201984<\/strong>, staff consultant and chair, Division of General Internal Medicine at\u00a0Mayo Clinic, was elected chair of the Augsburg College <a href=\"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/about\/leadership\/regents\/\" target=\"_blank\">Board of Regents<\/a> at its May 2014\u00a0meeting and began his term July 1. Mueller will play a key leadership role in Augsburg\u2019s\u00a0planning and fundraising initiatives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In addition, the Augsburg Corporation, at its annual September meeting, elected four new\u00a0members to the Board of Regents and re-elected five members.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Elected to their first term on the Augsburg Board of Regents:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><strong>Diane Jacobson<\/strong> is professor emerita of Old Testament at Luther Seminary, where she\u00a0taught from 1982-2010. She serves as the director of the Book of Faith Initiative for the\u00a0Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and on the advisory board of Augsburg College\u2019s\u00a0Bernhard Christensen Center for Vocation.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><strong>Dr. Steve Larson \u201972<\/strong> is chief executive officer and chairman of the board of Riverside\u00a0Medical Clinic, a multi-specialty medical practice in Riverside, Calif., where he oversees\u00a0130 health care professionals.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><strong>Earl Sethre \u201968<\/strong> is vice president and part owner of Jorgensen Laboratories, a veterinary\u00a0instruments company in Loveland, Colo.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><strong>Dean Sundquist \u201981<\/strong> serves as chair and chief executive officer of Mate Precision Tooling, a\u00a0Minnesota business with offices in Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Malaysia,\u00a0Mexico, and the United States.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">Elected to a second or third term:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><strong>Toby Piper LaBelle \u201996<\/strong>, senior vice president of Northland Securities in Minneapolis\u00a0Andr\u00e9 J. Lewis \u201973, director of marketing and community affairs and president of the\u00a0RBC Dain Rauscher Foundation.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><strong>The Honorable LaJune Thomas Lange \u201975<\/strong>, former Fourth Judicial District Court Judge for the\u00a0State of Minnesota and Honorary Consul for the Republic of South Africa in Minnesota.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><strong>David L. Tiede<\/strong>, president emeritus and professor of New Testament at Luther Seminary<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><strong>Norman W. Wahl \u201976<\/strong>, executive pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church, Rochester, Minn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ann Svennungsen<\/strong>, bishop of the Minneapolis Area Synod, and <strong>Rick Hoyme<\/strong>, bishop of the\u00a0Northwest Synod of Wisconsin, were appointed ex-officio to a three-year term.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Paul S.
