Schools named to the list were nominated by college presidents, chief academic officers, and deans from more than 1,500 higher education institutions. Augsburg was the only Minnesota school named to the list.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best Regional Universities by <em>U.S. News &amp; World Report<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<em>U.S. News &amp; World Report<\/em> named Augsburg one of the Best Universities in the Midwest. Rankings are based on several factors, including average first-year retention rates, graduation rates, class sizes, student-faculty ratios, acceptance rates, and more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cBest in the Midwest\u201d by <em>Princeton Review<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nAugsburg College is one of 155 colleges that <em>The Princeton Review<\/em> has named \u201cBest in the Midwest\u201d for academic excellence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Named Top 200 school by <em>Winds of Change<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nThe American Indian Science and Engineering Society <em>Winds of Change<\/em> magazine has selected Augsburg as one of the Top 200 Schools in 2013 for Native American and Alaska Native students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and math.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recognized nationally for contribution to the public good<\/strong><br \/>\nAugsburg College was the No. 2 institution in Minnesota named by <em>Washington Monthly<\/em> in its 2013 Master\u2019s Universities Rankings. The list rates schools based upon their contribution to the public good in three categories: social mobility, research, and service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Named a High ROI College by Affordable Colleges Online<\/strong><br \/>\nAugsburg College was named a top college for return on investment (ROI) in Minnesota for having high-earning graduates in comparison to tuition and fees.
