Patrick DuSchane \u201913, Augsburg\u2019s former day student body president, said the event was a chance to help ensure that legislators understand the value of the state grant program to Augsburg students and their families. The program is designed to help make college more affordable to more than 88,000 Minnesota students. In addition to their visit to the Capitol, students were invited to a post-event reception with former U.S. Representative Martin Olav Sabo \u201959. Earlier in the legislative session, Ben Yawakie \u201913 testified at a committee hearing on behalf of the Augsburg College community.
