Though social gatherings were restricted, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/campuslife\/campus-involvement\/asac\/\">Augsburg Student Activities Council<\/a> found creative ways to celebrate with a series of events during the week of September 21\u2014some virtual and some physically distanced:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Cider and canvas: Spread out in the quad, students created paintings in the style of artist Bob Ross.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Create your own PopSocket: Participants made their own Augsburg-branded phone grip accessories.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Drag and lip sync battle: Students competed by submitting videos of themselves lip-syncing to a song.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Movie night: The film \u201cQueen &amp; Slim\u201d was screened in the quad.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Homecoming royalty coronation ceremony: Homecoming court members were announced and royalty were crowned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>Top image: <\/em>Students participate in an outdoor event sponsored by the Augsburg Student Activities Council.<em> (Photo by Courtney Perry)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Homecoming 2020 celebrations looked a little different than previous years.
