The scholars participated in Zyzzogeton, a celebration of student research.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The National Science Foundation awarded Augsburg College a highly\u00a0competitive $1 million grant for continued support of the AugSTEM\u00a0Scholars Program. Under the direction of Professor\u00a0<strong>Rebekah Dupont<\/strong>,\u00a0the program will provide scholarships to as many as 80 academically\u00a0talented students with financial need who are pursuing studies in science,\u00a0technology, engineering, and math.<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"474.6611029411765\"><\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"474.6611029411765\">The four-year grant is part of NSF\u2019s work to address the need for a high-quality, diverse workforce. With a traditional undergraduate student body\u00a0that is more than 35 percent persons of color, Augsburg is well positioned\u00a0to support this goal. The program provides direct financial support, delivers\u00a0hands-on learning, offers research opportunities, and pairs each student\u00a0with a faculty mentor.
