\"dialog\"On March 3-4, Augsburg College will host an Inter-Religious Dialog, a series of conversations that brings Jewish, Muslim, and Christian theologians together to discuss an annual topic. This year’s theme, “Creation: The Common Story,” will be examined to promote a deeper understanding of the commonalities and nuances of the Abrahamic religions<\/p>\n

The opening reception and dinner will run from 5 – 6:45 p.m. on Monday, March 3. Then, Dr. Mark Throntviet, professor of Old Testament at Luther Seminary, will deliver a lecture from 7 – 8 p.m. On Tuesday, March 4, Rabbi Lynn Liberman of the Beth Jacob Congregation in Mendota Heights will speak from 10 – 11 a.m., followed by chapel and lunch. Then, from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., Dr. Hatem al-Haj, an Islamic scholar and pediatrician, will speak followed by a closing reception from 2:30 – 3 p.m. The Inter-Religious Dialog events will be held in Hoversten Chapel, in the Foss Center. All lectures and worship times are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
