The move reflects \u201ca culture shift and a new operational model at the institution,\u201d according to Inside Higher Ed. \u201cAdmissions counselors, traditionally the spokespeople for the university in enticing a student to apply and enroll, are shifting from their role from transactional to more of a student success coach.\u201d This includes multiple touch-points after a student has been admitted to identify and prioritize financial and academic goals, provide personalized support, and build relationships.<\/p>\n
