At the same time, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2019\/08\/Augsburg_Logo_Maroon.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-9306 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2019\/08\/Augsburg_Logo_Maroon-300x115.jpg\" alt=\"Augsburg University logo \" width=\"300\" height=\"115\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2019\/08\/Augsburg_Logo_Maroon-300x115.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2019\/08\/Augsburg_Logo_Maroon-768x294.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2019\/08\/Augsburg_Logo_Maroon-1024x391.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>the university increased the total financial aid awarded to students in 2020-21, as we have over the last several years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to freezing tuition and increasing financial aid to students, Augsburg is also investing significantly\u2014in both time and dollars\u2014to ensure a strong and engaging educational experience, to enhance campus facilities, and to ensure operations maintain a safe environment in pandemic conditions. Our faculty have been working throughout the summer to redesign fall courses that feature high-impact learning experiences. As a result, the fall semester will be significantly different from what we all experienced last spring when\u2014with only two weeks of planning and preparation\u2014faculty and students had to suddenly pivot from classroom teaching to remote learning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, we have invested in technology to support student learning\u2014including expanding our loaner laptop and WiFi hotspot program as well as expanding our Zoom license to provide each student and faculty member with their own individual account. We\u2019ve also made important enhancements to our course management system and have introduced a new application that helps students develop key skills for online learning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whether our courses are offered in the classroom, in blended\/hybrid formats, or fully online, they will feature the personalized, high-quality instruction for which we are known. Our staff will support students both academically and personally. We are committed to the same high-quality instruction in courses designed and taught by accomplished faculty dedicated to student learning.
