{"id":49694,"date":"2024-10-23T15:59:30","date_gmt":"2024-10-23T15:59:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/msw\/?page_id=49694"},"modified":"2025-09-12T18:42:45","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T18:42:45","slug":"school-social-work-scholars-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/msw\/tuition-and-financial-aid\/school-social-work-scholars-program\/","title":{"rendered":"School Social Work Scholars Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">The\u00a0Augsburg\u00a0<span class=\"il\">School<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Social<\/span>\u00a0<wbr \/><span class=\"il\">Work<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Scholars<\/span>\u00a0is a cohort of students who complete field placements in\u00a0<span class=\"il\">school<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">social<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">work<\/span>\u00a0and engage in additional training and mentoring related to\u00a0<span class=\"il\">school<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">social<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">work<\/span>\u00a0<wbr \/>practice.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\">Augsburg\u00a0<span class=\"il\">School<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Social<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Work<\/span>\u00a0<wbr \/><span class=\"il\">Scholars<\/span>\u00a0will receive:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">$10,000 stipend<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">$200 transportation reimbursement for travel to and from their field placements<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">$400 stipend for textbooks for their courses<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Cost of the licensure exam fee, as long as they take the exam prior to June 30,2025<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Cost of liability insurance during their field placement<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Cohort events, including additional trainings, speakers, mentoring, and community building activities<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Augsburg\u00a0<span class=\"il\">School<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Social<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Work<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Scholars<\/span> program is funded via a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education&#8217;s Student Support Personnel Workforce Pipeline Program<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Augsburg\u00a0School\u00a0Social\u00a0Work\u00a0Scholars\u00a0is a cohort of students who complete field placements in\u00a0school\u00a0social\u00a0work\u00a0and engage in additional training and mentoring related to\u00a0school\u00a0social\u00a0work\u00a0practice.
