The Master of Business Administration encourages qualified applicants from other countries to apply to the MBA program. An F-1 student is a nonimmigrant who is pursuing a “full course of study” to achieve a specific educational or professional objective, at an academic institution in the United States that has been designated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to offer courses of study to such students, and has been enrolled in SEVIS (the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\nStart Your Application<\/a>\n Students admitted to the MBA program must have:<\/span><\/p>\n Please upload your current r\u00e9sum\u00e9 to the online application.<\/p>\n We have listed below the essay questions required for application and admission to the Augsburg MBA program. Essays are utilized in the admission process to judge your ability to express yourself and to learn more about you as an individual and future MBA student. Applicants may upload their essay responses to their online application.<\/p>\n 1) What are your intermediate and long-term professional goals? Please explain and be as specific as possible. How do you feel these goals would contribute to realizing your vocation? (Approximately 500-600 words suggested). Vocation at Augsburg is seen as fulfilling a calling; that through the pursuit of your occupation, you are performing a service to your community and society.<\/p>\n 2) Answer one of the following questions (Approximately 350 words suggested).<\/p>\n Essays should be typed using 11- or 12-point font. Essays may be double spaced for readability.<\/p>\n Not required, but encouraged.<\/p>\n If you attended university in the United States, you will need to submit an official transcript from each college\/university you attended.\u00a0 If prompted by your institution to provide an e-mail address to which e-transcripts can be sent, please send to admissiondocs@augsburg.edu<\/strong><\/a>. Transcripts sent via mail should be sent to: Graduate Admissions, 2211 Riverside Ave, Campus Box 65. Minneapolis, MN 55454.<\/p>\n Students who have attended a college or university outside of the United States are typically required to submit international transcript(s) accompanied by a professional credit evaluation.<\/span><\/p>\n The evaluation report must be sent directly to Augsburg\u2019s Office of Admissions. Preferred evaluation services are World Education Services (<\/span>www.wes.org<\/span><\/a>) or Educational Credential Evaluators (<\/span>www.ece.org<\/span><\/a>), though Augsburg will accept evaluations from any member of the National Association of Credential Evaluators (<\/span>www.naces.org<\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n Augsburg may waive the foreign credential evaluation if an official transcript provides sufficient information to determine credit and degree equivalency. This includes but is not limited to students who have earned a Master’s level degree or higher in the United States and those who have completed coursework as part of a study abroad experience.<\/span><\/p>\n Non-degree seeking students may submit an unofficial transcript as part of their non-degree application. However,\u00a0 depending on the course of study, Augsburg may request an official transcript and foreign credential evaluation.<\/span><\/p>\n By electronic transfer:\u00a0admissiondocs@augsburg.edu<\/a><\/p>\n By mail: You will be invited for a personal interview with the Augsburg MBA Program Director via Zoom.<\/p>\n MBA Math replaces the need for the GMAT or GRE (optional for admission based on past experience; passing score required for the quantitative courses).<\/span><\/p>\n To fulfill Augsburg University\u2019s English Language Proficiency Requirement, all applicants must provide evidence of a sufficient command of both written and spoken English. Non-native or foreign-born English language speakers may be exempt from this requirement and request a waiver based on the successful demonstration of one of the following (applicants may be asked to provide official documentation):<\/p>\n Outside of the exemptions listed above, prospective international graduate students may demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following:<\/span><\/p>\n Score reports must be sent to Augsburg directly from the testing center.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In order to review your application for admission and process your Form I-20,\u00a0the following documents must be received:<\/p>\n Students with current F-1 status through another university in the United States: You will need to have your SEVIS record transferred from your current institution to Augsburg. The SEVIS Transfer form<\/a> must be completed by you and your Designated School Official. You will need to present your Augsburg letter of admissions to the DSO when submitting your transfer request. This form may be returned to Augsburg by e-mail.<\/p>\nAPPLICATION
