{"id":53116,"date":"2017-09-25T14:44:30","date_gmt":"2017-09-25T14:44:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/global\/?p=53116"},"modified":"2017-09-25T14:44:30","modified_gmt":"2017-09-25T14:44:30","slug":"welcome-new-assistant-provost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/global\/2017\/09\/25\/welcome-new-assistant-provost\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome New Assistant Provost"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to our new\u00a0Assistant Provost for Global Education and Experience, Patrick Mulvihill, M.P.A.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Patrick joined Augsburg CGEE\u00a0on August 1 and brings 20+ years of experience advancing social justice and change through global education, experiential learning, program development, and community development.\u00a0 At Augsburg, he will offer strategic, curricular, and operational leadership for our global education programs and initiatives, both domestically and internationally.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Most recently, Pat served 12 years as director of operations at the Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA).\u00a0 HECUA, a consortium of 24 colleagues and universities, offers off-campus academic programs rooted in interdisciplinary, community-based experiential education. Throughout his career, Pat has demonstrated a deep commitment to equity, to educating an intentionally diverse mix of students, and to building intercultural competence.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Pat earned a bachelor\u2019s in history from St. Olaf College and holds the Master of Arts in Public Affairs from the Humphrey School at the University of Minnesota.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to our new\u00a0Assistant Provost for Global Education and Experience, Patrick Mulvihill, M.P.A.
