I have been an AP Art & Design reader since 2006 and a table leader for four. In 2022, I became a certified AP consultant for Art & Design presenting to both online and in-person one-day workshops and in-person multi-day APSI. From 2016 to 2021, I joined a small group of readers writing the grading rationales explaining the scoring of the sample portfolios found on the AP Central website and used by APSI consultants. At the 2019 reading, I was a Pilot Member testing the redesign and current AP Art & Design rubric as we moved away from the legacy course. Moreover in 2010, I wrote lesson plans for the College Board to be used by AP Art & Design consultants during past APSI workshops. Lastly, I have presented a variety of workshops on AP Art & Design topics both at the National and State Art Education Conferences.

Gordon Engelhard is teaching one workshop at Augsburg this summer. See our registration site with the button below.

ONLINE JULY 15-19 APSI REGISTRATION

July 15-19

I have taught every art class at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, IL for 30 years, and for all but two, I instructed AP Art & Design students.
