Shannah Henderson-Amare’s favorite hobby as a child was to play school. This led her to being nicknamed “teach” by her uncle. Migrating from Guyana to America was life changing, but her school experience helped her transition in a new environment. This would later shape her understanding of the power and importance of schools.
