Graduation skills in Critical Thinking (CT), Quantitative Reasoning (QR), Speaking (S), and Writing (W) are embedded throughout the offered courses and are met by completing the major. The Quantitative Reasoning (QR) graduation skill is met by completing: ECO 112 or 113 (QF) and MIS 379 (QA).<\/span><\/p>\n Note: All business majors are encouraged to take KEY 490 \u2013 Vocation and the Meaning of Success to fulfill the Augsburg Core Curriculum Senior Keystone Requirement.<\/span><\/p>\n CSC 165 – Introduction to Computer Programming (Python) is also recommended.<\/span><\/p>\n Students must earn a grade of C- or better (or P) in each course that applies as a prerequisite for a CSC, DST,\u00a0 or MAT course.\u00a0 Students must earn a grade of C- or better (or P) in each course that applies toward the major in Mathematical Economics.<\/span><\/p>\n Students completing the major in Mathematical Economics are not eligible for a major in Economics, Applied Economics, or the Combined major in Economics and Business Administration or a minor in Mathematics or Economics.\u00a0 Students completing the major in Mathematical Economics may complete a major in Mathematics.<\/span><\/p>\n Graduation skills in Critical Thinking (CT), Quantitative Reasoning (QR), Speaking (S), and Writing (W) are embedded throughout the offered courses and are met by completing the major.\u00a0 Transfer students must consult an advisor about potential adjustments to their course requirements to fulfill each of these skills.<\/span><\/p>\n The State of Minnesota has specific licensing requirements for teachers that may differ slightly in emphasis from the Augsburg major requirements. The state requirements may also be subject to change after publication of this catalog. Students, therefore, should consult with the Augsburg Department of Education to identify current Minnesota teacher licensure requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n See Political Science.<\/p>\n GPA of 3.50 in the major and 3.00 overall; a senior thesis and comprehensive oral examination in the major field of concentration.<\/p>\n
