In compliance with the \u201cTimely Warning\u201d provision of the federal Jeanne Clery Campus Security Act, Augsburg University Department of Public Safety is giving notice of a situation that represents a serious or continuing threat to students and employees of the University. This timely warning aims to provide information to aid the Augsburg community in protecting themselves after a report of a serious crime.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reported Offense: Motor Vehicle Thefts<\/span><\/h4>\n

On October 30th at approximately 10:40 PM, Public Safety was contacted regarding a motor vehicle theft from Lot L. The owner parked their vehicle in the lot on October 30th at approximately 7:30 PM and entered into the Ice Rink. When the owner returned at approximately 10:40 PM, their vehicle was missing.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Public Safety was contacted again on October 31st regarding a second motor vehicle theft. The owner reported parking their vehicle on the street in front of the Kennedy Center on October 30th at approximately 5 PM. When they returned on October 31st at approximately 11:30 AM their vehicle was missing.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

No suspect information is available at this time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Status<\/span><\/h4>\n

DPS and the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) are currently investigating this incident. Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is urged to contact MPD or Augsburg DPS at 612-330-1717.<\/span><\/p>\n
