Minneapolis and St. Paul are under a state of emergency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">People traveling to and from work are exempt from this curfew &#8211; so Public Safety, Facilities, Dining Services and any other departments who will have people on campus for work purposes will still be able to get to or leave campus during the curfew.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Public Safety recommends that athletic practices and other campus activities be shortened so students can meet the curfew hours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Residential students still may go to The Commons for dinner. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Find hours during Ramadan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here\u2019s an overview of what to expect and how to plan:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Emergency notifications may be sent out to the community depending on the level of activity occurring and its location relative to campus<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If possible, have an off-campus housing option you can go to with alternative routes to get to the off-campus location<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be aware of any curfews put into place by the city or state<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have a bag with essentials packed in case you need to evacuate campus, including face coverings, any medication you may need and a phone charger<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/16hBy69hztpJaLaw7UigT8YOBeUrar1JEKhNbBobsKhI\/edit?usp=sharing\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">View the different levels of response <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that have been coordinated with Residence Life, Public Safety, and Day Student Government.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A curfew from 7 p.m. tonight to 6 a.m. Tuesday has been announced for Hennepin, Ramsey, and Anoka counties.
