Open Path<\/a> \u2014 a national non-profit network of mental health professionals who are committed to providing therapy at reduced rates ($40-$70)<\/p>\n

Low-cost\/sliding-fee counseling services<\/h2>\n

Unless otherwise noted, most of the listed agencies provide services on a “sliding fee scale”, which slides according to income, in some cases down to $0. \u00a0Many of the agencies do take insurance, and if you are income-eligible, will work with you to apply for government health care programs that will cover the costs of counseling (such as MA and Minnesota Care). \u00a0Some programs provide services based on the county where you live.\u00a0 For information about whether you may qualify for Medical Assistance (which fully covers outpatient mental health appointments) or MNCare, contact Health Access MN,<\/a> a free service that supports Minnesotans in signing up for free or reduced-cost insurance.<\/p>\n

How to find free or affordable therapy<\/a> \u2014 Therapist.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Walk-In Counseling Center<\/a> \u2014 Free, anonymous remote or in-person counseling services (phone or computer) by volunteer mental health professionals on a short-term basis.<\/p>\n
