In an effort to better combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Wednesday March 25, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, issued an executive order directing all Minnesotan to \u201cstay at home\u201d for\u00a0 two weeks beginning midnight, Friday, March 27 ending 5:00pm Friday, April 10. There are of course some workers that are exceptions to this directive, workers who are vital during this difficult and challenging time. Today we offer this scripture and prayer for\u00a0 GROCERY STORE PERSONNEL.<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 90:17\u00a0New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,<\/span>
\n<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and prosper for us the work of our hands\u2014<\/span>
\n<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0O prosper the work of our hands!<\/span><\/p>\n

Let us pray:<\/span><\/p>\n

Lord God, Jehovah Jireh, our provider, thank you today for the blessing of grocery store personnel. We offer prayers of gratitude for each and every employee that faithfully shows up to work.\u00a0 Bless them with your presence in every area of the store, the parking lot, and the roads that lead to them. Praise you for the people who station all areas: frozen food, meat, seafood, produce, deli, dairy, health and beauty and the front end.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

May your favor, oh God rest on every cashier, bagger,\u00a0 stock clerk, butcher, department manager, assistant store manager, manager, executive. Prosper, gracious Lord, the work of their hands and bless their households. Continue to protect them from the evil COVID-19 virus, from every hurt, harm or danger. May they be met with love and kindness from everyone that benefits from their labor. Keep them in your love, light in care we pray. Amen<\/span><\/p>\n
