Student Orientation and Registration (<\/em>SOAR) is a full day required orientation experience for all incoming first-year students who will be starting at Augsburg University in Fall 2026. SOAR is designed to help with the transition to Augsburg and allows students to:<\/p>\n Register for SOAR<\/a><\/p><\/ul>\n Space are available for registration on a first-come, first-served basis. SOAR sessions that reach capacity will not show the option to register in your student portal. Students should register for the next available option if their first choice is full.\u00a0 If you have major unavoidable conflicts with the available options, contact our office at orientation@augsburg.edu<\/a> or 612-330-1418.<\/p>\n *SOAR IV is reserved for students who live outside of Minnesota and western Wisconsin (or 300+ miles away), as well as F-1 and J-1 international students.<\/p>\n **Transfer SOAR is for students who are transferring to Augsburg for the fall semester.<\/p>\n Students can register for SOAR through their student portal.<\/a><\/p>\n SOAR check-in begins at 8:00am (CST). Programming begins at 9:00am and ends at 7:30pm. Lunch and dinner (optional) is provided. Please coordinate pick up with families using this time frame.<\/p>\n The SOAR schedule: TBD<\/p>\n Yes. SOAR is required for all incoming first-year students who will be starting at Augsburg University in Fall 2026. Students get an exciting opportunity to immerse themselves in the Augsburg campus and college experience including registering for classes, learning about the various resources and opportunities that exist across campus, and building connections with peers. For health or other major concerns that you would like to request an accommodation for, contact the CLASS office following the instructions in the accommodations section below.<\/p>\n SOAR is specifically designed for incoming first-year students. Parents and Families can drop students off and pick them back up on campus following the end of the orientation program.<\/em><\/p>\n Parent\/Family SOAR programming will be held on Wednesday, July 16 from 6pm-8pm via Zoom. Zoom link will be provided soon.<\/p>\n Parent\/Family SOAR is an orientation for the parents of incoming first-year students. Parents will obtain important information about the campus; learn about university resources and services; and get a taste of what life will be like for their student at Augsburg University.<\/p>\n More information including registration details will be available closer to summer.<\/p>\n Any student with a disability-related concern in regards to SOAR should contact the CLASS\/Disability Resources Office<\/a> at class@augsburg.edu<\/a> or 612-330-1053.
