Augsburg is a transfer-friendly university, and accepts transfer credits determined by the Registrar&#8217;s Office.<\/li>\n<li>Augsburg accepts transfer credit from other institutions accredited by the Higher Learning Commission that offer courses leading to an Associate of Arts or Bachelor of Arts degree.<\/li>\n<li>Students must earn a grade of \u201cC-\u201d or better in order for a course to be accepted in transfer at Augsburg.<\/li>\n<li>Augsburg&#8217;s general education courses are outlined <a href=\"https:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/academics\/gen-ed\/\">here<\/a>. Most Associate of Science in Nursing candidates have block transfer options including waivers for liberal arts electives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also accept\u00a0<a title=\"CLEP exams\" href=\"http:\/\/www.augsburg.edu\/registrar\/examcredit\/clep\/\">credit by exam<\/a> or CLEP (College Level Examination Program) credit. This allows you to earn credit for previous work or for experience that may not be reflected on your transcript.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"entry-title\">Math Placement Requirement<\/h2>\n<p class=\"entry-title\">Incoming students will have their math placement group (MPG) determined. In some cases, students who have transferred a mathematics course taken at another college may be exempt. <strong>All other students must take the Augsburg Math Placement Exam with a passing score of MP3.<\/strong> The following courses may be transferred in for the math placement exemption:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"entry-title\"><b>MP5<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: one of more semesters of college-level Calculus or higher, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>MP4<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Pre-Calculus<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>MP3:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> College Algebra<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*trigonometry, statistics, logic, or business mathematics are <strong>NOT<\/strong> accepted to fulfill the placement test.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><b>Community college Partner Institutions<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Augsburg has worked closely with our partner institutions to make sure students have a streamlined path from receiving their RN to their BSN.
