The B.A. in studio art at Augsburg offers artists intensive study and research in ceramics, papermaking and book arts, photography, painting, drawing, graphic arts, printmaking, and sculpture. We leverage the tools, studios, and assets that exist in our local and international community equipping students to launch their artistic careers in the visual arts. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a student, you will derive inspiration living in an artistic urban metropolis with direct access to a thriving and diverse network of accomplished artists and by building relationships with an accomplished team of professors. You will prepare and present self-authored, self-directed portfolios of work to the studio art faculty at a junior review where faculty discusses ideas for growth during the subsequent semesters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many of our graduates move directly to careers in the visual arts, working in commercial art or as educators. Still, others use the creative skills they developed in related fields like media and art therapy. Augsburg alum is thriving as professors, curators, conservators, sculptors, and internationally renowned creative professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n
